a collective of lone workers, craving connection
BILLY NO MATES IS A COLLECTIVE OF HOME AND LONE WORKERS THAT GATHER AT LOCAL INDEPENDENT VENUES
reducing
loneliness
Working at home in your comfy clothes can be fun but also really isolating. Billy No Mates started after Sarah from KINSHIP hung out too much at her favourite coffee shop with her laptop then invited others to do it at the same time. Since then the community has grown and spread across the North East.
supporting
independents
Purpose built co-working spaces are wonderful and very much needed. But there are lots of independent cafes and venues already in our communities with coffee brewing. We bring regular footfall and shout about our venue collaborators.
-
Billy No Mates sessions are informal drop in sessions from 10am - 2pm at independent venues.
-
We welcome anyone who would like a change of scenery. You don’t have to be a freelancer.
-
Yourself and any work you’d like to be getting on with. Some of us bring laptops or sketch books. Please be aware that you are responsible for your own items and safety, just like any other time you visit a coffee shop.

We are looking for partners and sponsors to help us grow. If you like what Billy No Mates is doing, please reach out and let’s see how we can work together
